Is my information secure

Your data is safe and protected in the cloud using security best practices. Please refer to the Ridalyze Privacy Policy for more information.

I get a message saying No Internet Connection

Currently Ridalyze is offered as an online only solution. This means that full App functionality is provided with internet connectivity. This means your data is available in the cloud, when you move or upgrade to another device.

Why can’t I watch my videos offline

Since Ridalye is an online solution, you will not be able to log in to see your videos if you don’t have internet access. However, if you want to watch them during a flight or some other time when you won’t have internet access, you can still watch them if you have downloaded and selected the video you wanted to watch prior and left the App running or in background mode.

What bike is used in the videos

We have used a R1, BMWS1000RR and ZX10R to film our onboard videos.

What experience do the coaches have

All of our coaches have many years experience of racing and teaching students the principles taught by CSS.

How much does it cost to subscribe to the videos

You choose which video type you prefer, or you can choose both. The 2D vidoes cost $4.99 per month and the VR/360 degress videos cost $9.99 per month.  You choose your target lap time and download the video and watch as practice leading up to your event.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime

Yes, simply go to Account Settings to do this.

What is the purpose of the videos

Think of watching our videos as practice. For watching them, we recommend that you find somewhere quiet where you won't be interrupted. It will probably become part of your practice and preparation. In the days or weeks leading up to your track event you probably have a routine that helps you prepare physically, so it makes sense to invest time in your mental preparation as well.  While watching and analyzing the videos you can identify key aspects to focus on when you're next on track. Look for braking and throttle-on reference points, lines through turns, corner speeds, lean angles and the lateral and G forces you will be feeling on your bike. Look to apply things noted and learned during your next track outing. If you want to take this virtual practice to the next level, you can log it in My Riding Log and see if it helps your improve your lap times and comfort level on the track.

Will watching the videos help me get quicker

Any practice when combined with the right training and skill development will improve your performance, Ridalyze lets you practice away from the track. A word of warning here that the idea is to make small, continual improvements rather than expecting to be able to knock big chunks of time off in one go. Be realistic, and choose a goal lap time only slightly quicker to what you’re currently doing. Our coaches have years of riding experience, so don't expect to match their times straight away. Enjoy the learning process and seek additional coaching to accelerate the process even more.

What video is best if I've never ridden the track before

We suggest watching the aerial fly around and then the slowest video (it will have the highest number) we have so that you know exactly what it will look like when you're on track. By the time you get there you’ll be amazed how familiar it seems, and when you’re comfortable you’ll feel more confident.

What is the purpose of the aerial fly around video

Before your first track day or day at a new track, watch the aerial video to give you a clear idea of the circuit layout so that you know exactly what to expect. Even if you've ridden the track before, it will give you a different perspective.

Why aren't all lap times and circuits available

We have decided to start with Phillip Island and SMSP. We have some lap times available for these circuits, and SMSP has some laps available in VR as well. We expect to include selectable lap times close to the lap record right through to the time a novice rider would do. These will be available in 2D and VR. After these two tracks are complete we will take your feedback on where to go next. You can email any requests to ash@ridalyze.com

Why don't I have sound on the videos

We are aware of an issue with some older model iPhones version 6 or older that may experience this problem. We are currently working on it, and if it affects you please log a support request here

How do I watch VR videos

You can watch VR videos in two ways. You can watch in 360 degree mode and move your phone to see the desired angles, or by clicking on the goggle  icon to watch in stereoscopic mode. You then place your phone into your VR headset. There is an option to scan the QR code of your headset so that it is optomised.  You can play and pause in cardboard mode by simply touching the screen. The video will play and loop continuously until you exit. You can find more instructions here

Why do I have to tilt my head up when watching the VR videos

When watching in VR mode you will notice that your head position will need to be similar to when on your bike. A high backed chair in your study will make it more comfortable, but if you want to make the practice more realistic then by all means assume your normal riding position. It's all part of making it as close to the real thing as possible to get you track ready.

Can I remove downloaded videos to free up space on my device

Yes, simply swipe left on the desired video.

How are the videos numbered

The videos are numbered with a three digit number.  001 under the 2D tab is always the Aerial track fly over.  After that they are numbered with the lowest three digit number being the fastest filmed lap available.

How do I compare my lap data with the coaches

There are many lap timers and data measuring devices available. Our coach data is overlaid on our videos which will allow you to see things like corner speed, braking points, throttle-on points, lean angle. You can compare this to your own data and identify areas for improvement, and we recommend coaching to further improve your skills and confidence. We are planning to include direct side by side data comparison in a future release.

How do I edit or delete a bike

In My Motorcycles, choose your bike, swipe right to edit, swipe left to delete.

How do I edit or delete a Riding Log

In My Riding Log, swipe right to edit and left to delete.

How do I edit or delete a Service Log

In My Service Log, swipe right to edit and left to delete. Record all your bike maintenance and service details in one place and even set reminders so you know when it's due again.

How do I record setup changes

Record any setup changes you make to your bike at the track in My Riding Log. You will probably know to make only one small change at a time, so by recording this you can easily refer back to it in future to see what worked and what didn’t.

What sort of details can I record for my rides

To get the most out of your track or coaching sessions, it pays to be organised. Ridalyze lets you easily record your training objectives, bike handling or riding notes and any feedback received in My Riding Log. You can then refer back to this to keep you focused on your riding goals and get the most from your track day or coaching investment.

Why can't I add a riding log in the past

It's always better when everything is fresh in your mind, so we suggest doing it at the track on the day so no important details get forgotten.
